Kuih Lapis (Steamed Layer Cake)
This is a traditional Malaysian coconut flavoured steamed cake - a steamed version of a baked layer cake (kek Lapis). This kuih always come in 9 layers - its soft and delicious with subtle taste of pandan coming through. Its such a joy to eat this - peeling it from one layer to another.
Malaysian Doughnuts
Malaysian Doughnuts (Kuih Keria) - these sweet potato doughnuts are yummy little gems. Traditionally coconut-palm sugar are used for coating but I substituted it with white sugar. They are crunchy from the outside and so soft on the inside. Delicious!
